The cricketing trends on social media today revolved around England’s preliminary squad which was announced on Wednesday by England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). There was a lot of discussions around Jofra Archer’s inclusion but he didn’t make it to the initial squad. However, there are clear indications that he will play the World Cup. He is currently the part of the 17-man squad which will play five ODIs against Pakistan starting from May 8.
Michael Vaughan shared his squad earlier in the day and then was sure of Archer making it to the final squad. England will announce its final squad on May 19 and there might be a few changes if things don’t go to plan for them in Pakistan series. Meanwhile, in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as the Men in Yellow won the toss and opted to field first with MS Dhoni missing out for them.
Suresh Raina led the team for the CSK on the day. Meanwhile, K Srikkanth felt that the visitors should get the score over 160 to stay ahead in the game. Azhar Ali was enjoying his County stint with Somerset as he posted the picture with his teammates.
