Cricketing Trends on Social Media today
Here is how the cricketers spent their day on Twitter and Instagram today.
The cricketing trends on the social media mostly revolved around the third and final ODI between Australia and India at the renowned Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). With the series level at 1-1, the Men in Blue had the chance of winning their maiden bilateral series on Australian soil and they did so with sheer authority. After winning the toss and electing to bowl first, India bowled Aaron Finch and Co for 230 in 48.4 overs.
Yuzvendra Chahal picked up his maiden six-wicket haul in ODIs and that broke the backbone of the Aussie batting lineup. During the run-chase, the visitors stuttered, but there was a certain player by the name of MS Dhoni, who came to the party and score 87 runs from 114 balls with the help of six scorching boundaries. He stayed until the very end and helped India chase the target down with four balls to spare.
Following the victory, the cricketing fraternity showered praises on the Men in Blue, Rishabh Pant, who wasn’t a part of the series, was happy for the team. Mayank Agarwal and Harbhajan Singh couldn’t stop lauding Chahal for the incredible spell of bowling. Suresh Raina put forth Dhoni’s name to describe the word ‘reliability’.
Meanwhile, Andrew Flintoff spent his time playing golf. Sachin Tendulkar wished Vinod Kambi on the latter’s birthday. Danny Morrison congratulated Shakib Al Hasan and Andre Russell after their knocks guided the Dhaka Dynamites to a six-wicket victory against Sylhet Sixers at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
