Cricketing Trends on Social Media today

The cricketing trends on social media today revolved around James Anderson’s agonising wait for the elusive 600th Test wicket mark. Rain delayed it for two long sessions before the play finally started in the last session. The pace bowler snaffled Pakistan skipper Azhar Ali to finally get to the mark and enter a special club. He also became the first pace bowler to touch the 600-mark in Test cricket ever.

The cricketing fraternity was quick to congratulate the cricketer soon after his achievement. The likes of Mohammad Hafeez, Aakash Chopra, Ajit Agarkar, Michael Vaughan and many others took to Twitter to wish Anderson on his amazing feat. Other trends on social media among cricketers were the Indian players enjoying the quarantine period in Dubai ahead of the 2020 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

All the teams have already reached the UAE for the T20 extravaganza and according to the protocols, the players are undergoing seven-day isolation during which they will be tested as well. While Kuldeep Yadav and Shikhar Dhawan were enjoying in their way, the likes of Rohit Sharma, with his wife, and Krishnappa Gowtham were training hard to keep themselves fit ahead of a long season.
