Indian fans were ecstatic to see first five of a batch of French Rafale fighter jets entering the Indian airspace on Wednesday as the Defence Ministry shared photos of the same. In a historic moment, five jets, after covering nearly 7000 km, finally touched down at Indian Air Force station at Ambala.
Following the landing, Twitter was flooded with congratulatory wishes and many cricketers including Suresh Raina and Manoj Tiwary also celebrated the glorious moment. The jets are expected to considerably boost India’s air armoury and defence.
One of the most iconic moments of Yuvraj Singh’s career was his six hitting-spree against Stuart Broad. Yuvi, in the inaugural T20 World Cup in South Africa, had stunned the crowd by blasting six sixes off Broad. Yuvraj, however, requested his fans to appreciate the English pacer for his recent achievement. In the third Test against West Indies, Broad paved his way in the illustrious list of bowlers who have scalped 500 Test wickets. Yuvraj pointed out that it takes hard work, dedication and determination to achieve such a milestone.
India pacer Ishant Sharma also recalled India’s triumph in the CB series way back in 2008. It was the early phase of Ishant’s career and the lanky pacer highlighted how special it was for him to don the Indian jersey and play for the country.
