Cricketing Trends on Social Media today
Here's how the cricketers spent their day on Twitter and Instagram today.
The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Shai Hope, the West Indies batsman, wished Barbados on their Independence Day. Yuzvendra Chahal, the Indian cricketer, posted an adorable picture with his fiancee Dhanashree Verma. Chahal recently had a couple of poor outings for the national team in the ODI series against Australia. India have already managed to concede a 2-0 lead to the opposition. David Warner and Aaron Finch were overjoyed after the hosts got over the line to win the series after Sunday’s match.
Steve Smith was also over the moon after the Aussies won the last ODI by 51 runs after putting on 389 runs on the board. Smith also notched back to back tons and is currently the leading run-scorer in the series. Smriti Mandhana, the Indian women’s cricketer, posted a picture from her childhood where he was seen posing with the bat. Recently, she played for the Trailblazers in the Women’s T20 Challenge.
Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar posted adorable pictures with their wives Debosri Biswas Sonchita and Priyonti Debnath Puja respectively.
