Cricketing Trends on Social Media today
Here's how the fraternity spent their day on social media.
The cricketing trends on social media today revolved around the Indian Premier League (IPL) game between the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Chinnaswamy stadium. The home team was invited to bat first by Dinesh Karthik as the RCB opted to make two changes to the team. Shimron Hetmyer and Umesh Yadav were dropped from the team while Tim Southee and Pawan Negi came into the team.
Akash Chopra felt that the changes in the team has made the team’s batting look weak for the RCB. He also added that the team’s problems have been their batting this season. Having said that, the RCB have started well batting first as Virat Kohli has scored a half-century and is looking threatening to score more along with Ab de Villiers. Both of them have been dropped once.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan selectors dropped a bombshell on the day removing Asghar Afghan from captaincy across all the three formats. Gulbadin Naib was appointed at the helm in the ODIs while Rashid Khan and Rahmat Shah were named captains in T20Is and Tests.
