Cricketing Trends on Social Media today
Here's how the fraternity spent its time on social media platforms.
The cricketing trends on social media today revolved around England storming into the final of the ongoing World Cup. They have now set up the finals date with New Zealand at the Home of Cricket at Lord’s on Sunday. England defeated Australia by eight wickets at Edgbaston, their happy hunting ground across all the formats, to seal their place for the title clash. Jason Roy played a blinder of a knock with the bat and the fraternity was stunned to witness it.
Roy slammed 85 runs before getting out in a bizarre manner and deserved a century as well. Chris Woakes returned with 3/20 in his eight overs and was the hero for his team in the crunch game. He fitting won the Man of the Match on the day as some of the former Indian cricketers wished both the finalists for the final. While England defeated New Zealand comfortably in the league stage, it will be a different ball game altogether on Sunday.
Meanwhile, AB de Villiers cleared all the air about him offering a comeback to South Africa team ahead of the World Cup squad announcement. He cleared that he had a casual chat with the skipper Faf du Plessis and just mention that he is available if required and never tried to force his way into the national side. The 35-year-old also cleared that he will continue playing some of the T20 leagues and looking forward to spent more time with his family.
