The final of the 2025 Champions Trophy is set to be played on March 9. The ninth edition of the marquee ODI competition commenced with eight teams in action but only India and New Zealand remain alive and will be up against each other for the final showdown in Dubai.
Meanwhile, the International Cricket Council had released an advertisement featuring former Pakistan legend Wasim Akram who unveiled the tournament's famous White Jacket. Notably, the jackets will be worn by the winners of the tournament. It has the "ICC Champions Trophy" and "Pakistan" etched in golden lettering on the chest pocket.

In addition to the coveted silverware, each winning squad member of the Champions Trophy is presented with white blazers in the presentation ceremony. According to the global administrative board, the white jackets are a "badge of honour" that reflects the unwavering determination and the greatness of players.
“Every match counts in the ICC’s most high stakes event format, where teams not only vie for the Champions Trophy, but also for the coveted white jackets - symbolizing the ultimate measure of greatness and determination. The white jacket is a badge of honour adorned by champions. The jackets embody the relentless pursuit of tactical brilliance and a legacy that inspires generations. Winning the white jacket signifies the journey of putting it all on the line for victory,” read a statement released by the ICC.
Although the inaugural edition of the tournament was held in 1998, the white jackets were first seen during the 2009 edition. This particular edition was won by Australia in South Africa. Since then, it has been a part of every subsequent edition.

Pakistan came into the tournament as defending champions, having won the previous instalment of the tournament in 2017 by getting the better of arch-rivals, India. The imminent iteration is poised to be extremely competitive considering how most teams have lined up their rosters.
