Seen as a replacement for Shane Watson in the Aussie side, the prolific allrounder has failed to disappoint and lived has up to expectations if not exceeding them. His clean striking as a batsman and his ability to hit 140 kph consistently alongside a tall height makes Mitchell Marsh a versatile player in any side.
Alongside an amazing run tally of 642 runs this year, he has also taken 21 wickets with a decent economy rate. He has instilled the faith of the selectors with his recent performances. Marsh also managed to hit his first century in ODIs this year. His fielding has also been sharp which makes him an apt choice in the team.
