CSA T20 League: Paarl Royals sign Jos Buttler, David Miller, Obed McCoy, Corbin Bosch
Notably, all four players have been part of the Rajasthan Royals squad in the past while three of them were part of the squad in IPL 2022.
The popularity of the CSA T20 League has been flying high and handsome so far in the last few days and every team has been announcing its marquee signings now. As per the tournament rules, a team can sign a maximum of one capped South African, three overseas players and an uncapped player ahead of the player’s auction and the IPL-based franchises have landed most of their own players.
Out of it, the latest to headline are the Paarl Royals announcing the signings of Jos Buttler, David Miller, Obed McCoy and Corbin Bosch. Notably, all four players have been part of the Rajasthan Royals squad in the past while three of them were part of the squad in IPL 2022.
Buttler won the Orange Cap this year for the Royals and played an massive role in the franchise reaching the finals of the tournament in IPL 2022. With 863 runs in 17 games at an average of 57.53, Buttler was in tremendous form throughout the campaign and scored four centuries and four half-centuries. The English lad has got 360-degree shots in his book and is among the top T20 batters going around the world.
David Miller, popularly known as ‘Killer Miller’, is an extraordinary finisher and can hit sixes at will. The South African batter played for the Royals in IPL 2020 and 2021 until he was picked up by Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022 mega auction. He had a fantastic season scoring 481 runs in 16 innings at an average of 68.71 with two half-centuries.
Obed McCoy was part of the IPL for the first time with the Royals and was quite impressive with his left-arm medium pace. The tall seamer picked up 11 wickets in seven games at an average of 21.54 and he has taken the responsibilities of the death overs for various franchises.
Another interesting signing, Corbin Bosch is yet to make his international debut. He was part of the Royals squad in IPL 2022 as a replacement for Australia’s Nathan Coulter-Nile. Bosch is a right-arm medium pacer who plays for the Titans in domestic cricket and is one of the upcoming talents with a lot of skillsets.
