When the real life MS Dhoni trends on social media, the reel life can’t stay behind for long. The official Twitter account of Chennai Super Kings tagged actor Sushant Singh Rajput, asking him whether he has started his preparations for the sequel to Dhoni’s biopic. The actor replied in a witty tone, saying that he thought he is out in the park, playing against Australia. The CSK team made a good come back by saying “Then the one who’s tweeting from your handle must be msdhoni. Love to both of you. #WhistlePodu.”

Sushant won a few more hearts by saying that there can be only one Dhoni, and also confessed that he is the biggest admirer of the former Indian captain. He wrote “Hahaha there could be only one Mahi and I’m his biggest admirer!! #WhistlePodu.”

Dhoni-Chennai Combo

MS Dhoni and Chennai once again came together, this time to beat the men in yellow. Dhoni’s game-changing 79 off 88 balls helped India post a competitive total before rain stopped play for sometime. Australia were then set a revised target of 164 from 21 overs, but the visitors went down like a pack of cards, and ended their innings on 137/9. Dhoni and Hardik Pandya forged a match winning stand to help India go 1-0 in the 5-match series with a 26-run win.

India lead 1-0

India were struggling at 87/5 at one stage but the duo took India to a safe spot before going after the visitor’s bowling attack. Pandya made 83 off 66 balls, with the help of 5 sixes and 5 fours. India posted 281/7 on the board, after Bhuvneshwar Kumar played a cameo of 32 from 30 balls.

India will take on Australia in the 2nd ODI in Kolkata on 21st September. Steve Smith and his men will look to make a quick come back in the 5-match series, as they now trail by 0-1.
