Notably, DC won both matches against CSK in the league stage in 2022 and the Super Kings did the same over the Capitals in IPL 2023.

In the matches held between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals, the veteran batsman MS Dhoni has hit the most runs (696), followed by Suresh Raina (552), Shikhar Dhawan (433). Among the bowlers, Ravichandran Ashwin, Dwayne Bravo and Ravindra Jadeja have picked up 19 wickets each, followed by Deepak Chahar and Albie Morkel with 13 each.
