CT 2017: Dean Jones comes up with an advise for Pakistan ahead of India clash
In the recent past, it has been the team India that has often ended up on the winning note.
Former Australian cricketer Dean Jones has been very vocal about his opinions. This time around, he chose to give his remarks on the upcoming high-intensity India-Pakistan clash. The arch-rivals are set to lock horns in the upcoming edition of the Champions Trophy. Their clash at Birmingham on June 4 will be their first match of the ICC mega event.
The rivalry between the two nations has always produced some high intensity games. The tempers keep soaring and the players give their full efforts when they see their arch rivals against them. The war of words has already begun prior to the epic clash. Pakistan pacer Junaid Khan has launched verbal volleys against Indian skipper Virat Kohli. Both teams have been practicing hard. With a win to their names in their first warm-up games, the confidence level seems to be on the higher front as well.
In the recent past, it has been the team India that has often ended up on the winning note. Their last encounter in the tournament in the previous edition had seen the MS Dhoni-led Indian team come out as the victorious camp. However, on a broader scale, Pakistan have had good success against India in the history of the Champions Trophy. Needless to say, all of this only evens out the competition.
Prof Deano has a solution for Pakistan
Going into the game this year, India will be the clear favorites. Dean Jones has thus come up with an advice for the men in green. He noted that the Pakistani team needs to see India just as any other team. The hidden inference is about not letting the mind games or the psychological pressure get to their skins ahead of the big match.
“If Pakistan wants to beat India they need to stop playing the jumper and play them like any other Team! #INDvPAK #iccchampionstrophy,” Dean Jones tweeted.
