Australia clinched the gold medal in the inaugural T20 cricket event in the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
6. Tahlia McGrath
Australia’s Tahlia McGrath was one of the key members in her side’s glory in the 2022 Commonwealth Games, contributing with both bat and ball. She played five matches in the tournament, and scored 128 runs at an average of 42.66 and a strike rate of 148.83, with one fifty.
McGrath also finished as the joint-second-highest wicket-taker of the competition, with eight wickets at an average of 12.12 and a strike rate of 10.5, with an economy rate of 6.92. She had a dream game against Pakistan, as she scored an unbeaten 78 off 51 balls and also picked up three wickets for only 13 runs.
McGrath also finished with the same match figures against Barbados. In the semifinal against the Kiwis, she scored 34 with the bat and got two wickets with the ball. The fifth-ranked T20I batter was arguably the best performer of the competition with her all-round contributions.
