Former South Africa Test bowler Dale Steyn still remains a force in the limited-over formats and fancy his chances to play in the T20 World Cup in Australia later this year. The 36-year-old, who recently made his debut in the Big Bash League Down Under, has not been picked for his country’s squad for the ODI series against England that is currently underway. Meanwhile, Steyn found himself at the receiving end of the fans after seeking a revision of a wrong piece of information about himself on Twitter.
Taking to the social media, the veteran seamer asked if anybody from Google could help him change the information on Wikipedia which he called “FALSE”. The fans pounced upon him trolling even if South Africa’s highest wicket-taker in the long format expressed a genuine concern to get the information about him changed as Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia which is run by a community of voluntary editors.
While one fan mocked him by asking whether Wikipedia said Jimmy is a better bowler than him, another advised him to contact his team selector saying it can change anything.
Can anyone from @google help me change the information of me on your Wikipedia?
A pretty serious point of information is FALSE and I’d love to have it changed.

Dale Steyn is quite active on social media
Steyn is known for his active engagement on Twitter. Recently, he lashed back at an Indian Twitter user who made fun of the Proteas’ ‘home win’ in the first Test against England in Centurion. South Africa though ended up losing the remaining three matches of the series to squander series 1-3.
The veteran bowler was also left disgusted with the ‘Mankading’ that Afghanistan bowler Noor Ahmad affected to get rid of a Pakistan batsman in the quarter-final of the ongoing Under-19 World Cup in South Africa. “This s**t’s getting outa hand,” said Steyn, who has 696 international wickets under his belt.
Meanwhile, South Africa started off well in the three-ODI series against the Three Lions by crushing the visitors by seven wickets in the first match in Cape Town. The hosts will now look to not allow a repetition of the Test series when they take the world champions on in the second and third match in Durban and Johannesburg on February 7 and 9, respectively.
