Dale Steyn gave a befitting reply to him and shut his mouth.
Ever since he made his comeback, Dale Steyn has been highly impressive. He is clocking some amazing speeds with the ball and is hitting great areas. With these terrific performances, the veteran pacer is definitely a part of South Africa’s World Cup plans.
The team management is handling the 35-year-old extremely well. He is being rested frequently to prevent injuries and for the body to recover well. After playing three Tests on the trot against Pakistan, he was rested for the first two ODIs of the five-match series. Yet again, he is currently sent on a break and isn’t a part of the T20I side.
That’s a burn!
Steyn was amongst the leading wicket-takers in the Test series. In the three games, he picked up 12 wickets at an average of 29. He accounted for three wickets in the three ODIs that he played against Pakistan. Now that he is rested, Dale Steyn came up with a tweet where he updated the fans with what he is up to.
“Okay that’s enough from me. Watching this Test from the comfort of my couch, did I just become a armchair critic? #WhoAmI,” wrote Dale Steyn in his tweet.
In a reply to this tweet, one of the Twitter users put up something that infuriated Dale Steyn. He wrote that the pacer surely needed some rest after the spanking from Babar Azam in the Test series. Steyn didn’t find great success bowling to Azam in the three Tests. The right-hander scored 221 runs in 6 innings and was dismissed by Kagiso Rabada and Duanne Olivier three times each.
“You sure need some comfort after that spanking by Babar Azam in the Test series,” wrote the Twitter user.
Dale Steyn gave a befitting reply to him and shut his mouth. The Phalaborwa Express reminded the fan about the 3-0 whitewash and added that it was proper spanking. “Yes, 3-0 in the test series is a proper spanking. #burn,” replied Steyn.
