Dale Steyn picks the best batsmen he ever played against

Dale Steyn, the veteran bowler from South Africa has become quite active on social media. Moreover, lockdown in the country due to Coronavirus pandemic has given a boost to his activity on social media platforms. He also conducted a question & answer round-up with the fans. And, when one of the followers asked him to name the best batsman he’s ever played against, Steyn picked a lot of them terming them really good.
The 36-year-old bowler is at the fag end of his career. He has earned the reputation of a really quick bowler across the globe. He was simply unplayable during his prime and was a big headache for any batsman in the world. Interestingly, even at this stage of his career, Dale Steyn still holds a great control over his length, pace and accuracy which was the possible reasons the RCB picked him in the IPL 2020 auction.
Dale Steyn says all batsmen were really good
In last 16 years, he played against many great batsmen like Brian Lara, Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, Adam Gilchrist, Kevin Pietersen, Rahul Dravid and many more. So as soon as Dale Steyn came across the question from a fan about the best batsman he ever played against, he came out with a pleasing response.
Steyn said that every batsman he played against was really good taking the names of Ricky Ponting, Sachin Tendulkar, Kevin Pietersen, Rahul Dravid and Chris Gayle. The 36-year-old took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “Faaak bud they all good ey! Ponting was prime, Sachin was a wall, Dravid, Gayle, KP, they were all so good!.”
There is no doubt over the fact that the names he took are reckoned as the gems of cricket, who hold several accolades. Also, they played a vital role in changing the dynamics of batting in the gentleman’s game. He also gave his opinion on the upcoming T20 World Cup in a reply to one of his fan saying that he is unsure if it is going to take place.
