Dambulla Aura vs Kandy Falcons Head to Head Record in LPL History

Dambulla Aura and Kandy Falcons face off in match 11 of the ongoing third edition of the Lanka Premier League on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele. Both sides will be meeting each other for the first time this season with their second clash scheduled for match no. 18 on December 18 at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. 

Dambulla have had a miserable start to the tournament as they have played three and lost all three of them. Twice they suffered defeat at the hands of Jaffna Kings by nine wickets and 51 runs. The Colombo Stars also managed to inflict a loss on Dambulla by nine runs in Hambantota. With no wins yet, Aura sits rock bottom in the points table with a net run rate of -1.700. On the other hand, it’s the complete opposite for the Kandy Falcons as they have played three matches and registered victories in all three of them. They began their campaign with a thumping win over Colombo by 109 runs while they defeated Galle and Jaffna by five and three wickets respectively. They occupy the top position with six points and a healthy NRR of +2.579. (till Match no. eight). Speaking about the Head-to-Head fixtures, Dambulla have dominated Kandy with three wins out of the four games.

Dambulla Aura vs Kandy Falcons last meeting: 

Both sides last met in Match 18 of last year’s edition in 2021 when the Falcons beat Aura for the first time in LPL by a margin of six wickets. Dambulla batted first and managed to post only 130/9 on the board in their allotted 20 overs. Binura Fernando and Al-Amin Hossain picked up three wickets each for Kandy. In reply, Ravi Bopara struck an unbeaten 59 to guide his side to a victory in 19.2 overs.
