Ace Afghanistan cricketer Rashid Khan, who recently became the top-ranked all-rounder in ODIs displayed his batting skills yet again in the ongoing Afghanistan Premier League (APL) on Sunday. Rashid, who is captaining Kabul Zwanan, hit 56 not out off 27 balls and also took a wicket against Balkh Legends in Sharjah. However, his effort could not ensure a victory for his side as the Legends won by 8 wickets.
Rashid recently showed in Asia Cup that he is no bunny with the bat as he slammed an unbeaten 57 from just 32 balls and took two crucial wickets for 13 runs against Bangladesh. On Sunday, Rashid also displayed his brutal side by tonking Ravi Bopara for four sixes and a four in the penultimate over of the innings.
Danielle Wyatt mocks Rashid Khan as ‘slogerrrrrrr’
The Zwanan skipper later shared the video of his hitting in the 19th over of the game on his Twitter account and English cricketer Danielle Wyatt was found pulling Rashid’s leg by calling him a “slogerrrrrrr”.
Rashid and Danielle are known for their exchanges on Twitter, so much so that one fan had even asked the batswoman on Twitter the timing of her getting married to the Afghan cricketer. The question had clearly left the English cricketer in splits. Danielle had once made the headlines for proposing Indian captain Virat Kohli and now the focus seems to be more on her friendship with the 20-year-old Afghan player.

In the inaugural edition of the APL which started on October 5, Rashid’s Zwanan has one win from two games at the moment and are placed third in the points table with Balkh Legends leading the pack with two wins out of as many games.
