Danielle Wyatt reacts after Yuzvendra Chahal shares his engagement picture with Dhanashree Verma

India international Yuzvendra Chahal, on Saturday, took social media by surprise as he announced the news of his engagement with Youtuber and choreographer Dhanashree Verma. Chahal, as well as Dhanashree, shared picture of the ceremony on social media and they were showered with congratulatory wishes in no time.

A plethora of India stars including Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer congratulated Chahal and wished them luck for their future. Twitter, as well as Instagram, was filled up with photos and wishes for the newly-engaged couple.

Chahal took to his various social media handles to share a picture of himself and Dhanashree with the caption reading, “We said ‘Yes’ along with our families #rokaceremony.”

England women’s cricket team star all-rounder Danielle Wyatt, who shares a good camaraderie with Chahal, also reacted to the picture. Wyatt, who has been involved in a number of social media banters with Chahal, congratulated the leg-spinner on Instagram.

Recently, Wyatt had revealed that she has never met Chahal till date. However, they enjoy having a friendly banter towards each other on social media. The duo might meet in person for the first time if Wyatt travels to play in the Women’s IPL to be played in the UAE.

“I have never met Chahal. We follow each other on Instagram and have some good friendly banter towards each other. He is a fantastic bowler and he is absolutely funny on social media too,” Wyatt had said in an interaction with cricket.com.

Meanwhile, with COVID-19 pandemic affecting international cricket, Chahal and Wyatt have been away from the sport since March. Wyatt has resumed outdoor training as England Women’s next assignment is against South Africa.

Talking about Chahal, he is expected to play a vital role in RCB’s maiden title heist on the UAE soil. Over the years, the leg-spinner has emerged as Virat Kohli’s go-to bowler in the limited-overs. Chahal, along with Kuldeep Yadav, has certainly bolstered Team India’s spin force.

Chahal is expected to brace the field in the last week of August after the Bangalore franchise players land in the UAE. Amid COVID-19 outbreak, players will be residing in a bio-secure bubble during the course of the tournament. The IPL 2020 is slated to start from September 19th, with the final being on 10th November.
