Massive question mark over the future of Rishabh Pant in international cricket

On one side, the 21-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman is enjoying his time in New Zealand on the other, there is a big doubt over his future in international cricket. The emergence of KL Rahul as the team’s premier wicketkeeper-batsman has kept Pant on the bench. Since Rahul’s presence gives proper balance to the Indian team combination, even Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri have not tried to bring the Delhi Capitals star back in the Indian team.

Yuzvendra Chahal too has struggled to keep his place in the team as the team management is still unsure about their spin bowling options for the T20 World Cup.

Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav and Chahal are competing for two spots with Washington Sundar being the wildcard in the race. It will be interesting to see which players make the final cut to the Indian T20I squad for the World Cup. Besides, Danielle Wyatt will look to make her mark in the upcoming international matches of the English team.
