Danish Kaneria responds to fan’s 'stay safe’ tweet on Ram Mandir foundation
Kaneria is someone, who has expressed his religious beliefs without hesitating.
Danish Kaneria, the former Pakistan cricketer, was happy after the foundation of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on Wednesday, August 5. Honourable Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi did the honours after he started with saying ‘Jay Siya Ram’. Back in 1992, the Hindu mobs demolished a mosque, mentioning that it was built on the land of Lord Ram, a deity.
From there on, the Hindus and Muslims were at loggerheads. However, with the foundation of the temple, the curtains came down on the dispute. The development took place when India is going through the massive coronavirus pandemic. The country is currently third in the list of COVID-19 affected cases in the world after Brazil and United States of America (USA).
Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, and other BJP leaders, also attended the ceremony. The roads were decorated with flowers and front of the shops were painted with yellow and saffron. Expressing his happiness, Kaneria dropped a tweet, uploading a picture.
He captioned the picture and wrote, “The beauty of Lord Rama lies in his character, not in his name. He is a symbol of the victory of right over the evil. There is wave of happiness across the world today. It is a moment of great satisfaction. #JaiShriRam,”

He called it a historic day. In another tweet, he wrote, “Today is the Historical Day for Hindus across the world. Lord Ram is our ideal.”

In the meantime, one of the fans on Twitter sounded concerned about Kaneria after the latter dropped the tweets. The supporter wrote, “Stay safe.”
Kaneria said that one shouldn’t have problems in opining on religious matters. The veteran replied to the fan and wrote. “We are safe and no one should have any problem with our religious beliefs. Life of Prabhu Shri Ram teaches us unity and brotherhood.”

Kaneria was one of Pakistan’s stalwart in the Test setup. However, the spot-fixing scandal eight years ago turned his career upside down. He last played for Pakistan in 2010 against England in a Test match at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
