Daughter Ziva helps MS Dhoni ease the stress
The former Indian skipper also talked about her matured attributes even at a young age.
MS Dhoni may be at the twilight of his international career, but, his fandom hasn’t died down by any means. His numbers and achievements at the highest level transcend even the best in the business. He is expected to represent India in the World Cup in England and Wales, which starts from May 30 next year Currently, the Jharkhand-born cricketer only plays coloured-clothing cricket for India.
He is presently in the middle of a turbulent phase as far as his career is concerned. After a successful stint for CSK in the Indian Premier League, he couldn’t replicate his form for Virat Kohli’s Men in the limited-overs series against England. Subsequently, experts and supporters have questioned his position in the team. The situation is likely to have marred his mental sanctity, which is pretty understandable.
She’s a live-wire
Recently, the veteran cricketer revealed how Ziva Dhoni, his daughter, acts as a stress buster for him. The former Indian skipper also talked about her matured attributes even at a young age. Moreover, the 37-year-old mentioned how people enthusiastically enquire about Ziva whenever he goes to meet them.
“It’s good to have someone like her around. She’s a live-wire. From the time she wakes up in the morning, she’s always on the move. She’s very careful about what she does, so we are not worried that she may get hurt herself. It feels good to have her around as she eases the stress.
She’s hardly three-and-a-half but she has her own character. Wherever I go, people ask me, ‘where is Ziva’ or ‘what is she doing’. I am nowhere in the scene,” Dhoni mentioned while interacting with the media on the sidelines of a promotional event.
Ziva, also the daughter of Sakshi Dhoni, has been seen with the wicketkeeper-batsman quite a few times. She was spotted at the venues whenever the Chennai Super Kings, led by her father, weaved their magic on the cricket pitch.
