It has been almost 10 years since Yuvraj Singh toyed with English bowler Stuart Broad as he hit him for six sixes in a single over. And recently, left-handed Protea batsman David Miller came almost as close to equaling the feat. Miller, who scored the fastest T20I century in the second encounter against Bangladesh, knocked 5 maximums in one over and broke fellow South African batsman Richard Levi’s record of a 45-ball-century.

Miller reached his maiden T20I century in just 35 balls as he powered his way through the innings with 7 fours and 9 sixes. The Proteas batsman stole the show with his impeccable batting but he fell short of scoring six sixes in the over. With last night’s win, South Africa won the series and whitewashed Bangladesh in all formats of the game.

Given below is the ball by ball breakdown of Miller’s overpowering sixes

Ball 1- Miller backed up into the crease and hit it over long on for a maximum. The shot looked well under control as South Africa was looking to go over 200 in the first innings.

Ball 2- Saifuddin releases a slack delivery in an attempt to hit the blockhole. Miller was hanging back at the crease. He got underneath the ball and hit it over for extra cover. A proper cricketing shot from ‘Killer-Miller’.

Ball 3- Saifuddin’s misses his line yet again bowls full but way down the leg stump. Miller gave it a mere flick as the ball flew over deep square leg boundary for a maximum.

Ball 4– The Bangladeshi seamer bowled a similar line and length. This time Miller flicked it off his pads, but with a better follow-through.

Ball 5- Realizing that Miller has read his game, Saifuddin this time went with the short ball. Miller, however, hit the short ball from outside off and hit over the mid-wicket for the fifth maximum in a row.

Ball 6- Miller looked all prepped for a perfect finish to the over to make it six in six. Saifuddin bowled a delivery which was full and almost wide. This time Miller could not get underneath it as it hit the toe-end of the bat and scraped a single off the last ball of the 19th over.
