David Miller the Killer turns 26 today
David Miller the Killer turns 26 today: South African batsman David Miller is celebrating his 26th birthday today. Having made his debut in 2010 for South Africa, Miller has risen in stature and has established himself as an integral part of the powerhouse South African team. Miller is nicknamed by his fans as “Miller the Killer”.
He earned his famous nickname due to his innings of 101 off just 38 balls in the Indian Premier League. His side Kings XI Punjab required 96 in the last seven overs and his 101 enabled his side to vanquish Royal Challengers Bangalore and pick up a near improbable victory. Opposing captain Virat Kohli said in the post-match presentation that “It was one of the best ever innings that he had seen”. Not only this innings, the left hander Killer Miller has many famous IPL knocks to his name that are clearly inscribed in the league’s devout followers.
He represents the Dolphins in the South African domestic circuit. One of the best limited overs specialists David Miller, comes in the lower middle order and he along with AB de Villiers can be deadly duo and can sound the death knell for any side. Miller averages over 37 in ODIs with 2 centuries and 8 half tons. He hasn’t earned a test call up yet and would be working hard and hoping to get selected in the traditionally most challenging form of the game. He is a player with a strong bottom hand, excellent hand-eye co-ordination and some serious power. He can thwack and bludgeon the balls of any bowler when he is in good form. Such a dangerous player he is.
CricTracker wishes David Miller a very happy birthday and may he be fruitful in all his endeavours.
