The ball-tampering scandal was one of the lowest points in Australia’s cricketing history. The consequences of the same were also huge as the captain Steve Smith and the vice-captain David Warner were banned for a period of 12 months while Cameron Bancroft who executed the actions on the field was suspended for 9 months. While the world was bashing the trio for their actions, Warner family was going through their own trauma. Candice Warner was pregnant and amidst the scandal, she miscarried their third child even as she faced a lot of wrath for her husband’s doings.

Warner was heartbroken emotionally during the press conference after he reached Sydney and had admitted to the fact he might never play for Australia again. It was extremely tough for even to speak as he went on to apologise for the fans across the world for his actions on the field.

Candice revealed the shocking news

Candice herself revealed the shocking news while speaking to Australia Women’s weekly on Wednesday that they lost their unborn child only 7 days after Warner’s press conference in Sydney in March. “I was bleeding. We knew I was miscarrying. We held one another and cried,’ she said. ‘The miscarriage was a tragic consequence, a heartbreaking end to a horror tour,” she said.

Warner breaks his silence

Soon after her comments in the media, David Warner broke his silence on the same and posted an emotional message for Candice on Instagram. He was all praise of her for successfully going through the toughest times of their life as a family in the last few months. The left-handed batsman of Australia also posted an adorable picture of his family together and was proud of the three girls in his life.

When you’re living the dream you must enjoy every moment of it regardless of the highs and lows. We as a family have been through one of the toughest times ever the last few months but nothing will ever stop us from being just us. I have three of the best girls in the world that I cherish and love every single waking day. I am truly blessed with this!! My wife my rock has endured pain, disappointment, regrets in her past and so many highs and lows but the courage Candice has shown in recent months is a testament to the qualities she has as a mother, person, friend and wife. I’m grateful every day I get to call her my wife and my soul mate, I wouldn’t want it any other way,” his message read.
