David Warner, Josh Hazlewood soar in the latest ICC Rankings

Australian players benefitted from their stupendous performances in the recently concluded Tri-series and enjoyed a surge in the ICC official rankings. Australian vice-captain David Warner’s looked in great form in the Caribbean and rose up the rankings. He slots in at No.12 in the latest update to the ICC batting rankings.
Warner scored 165 runs at 82.50 from three innings before being ruled out of the remainder of the ODI tri-series with a broken finger. Courtesy to this performances, the 29-year-old jumped three places higher. Glenn Maxwell, who was the only batsman from Australia in the top 10, dropped to 22. He headed to the Caribbean at No.14, but a loss of form with the bat which saw him score nine in five innings.
Australia captain Smith remained at No.15 despite having an ending as the top run-getter of the Tr-series with the bat. The skipper made 264 runs at 52.80 in 7 games. Opener Aaron Finch follows him at No.16 while George Bailey sits at 21st position. Player of the series Josh Hazlewood, who picked a five-wicket haul in the final, soared into the top 20, moving up 20 spots to a career-high 15th after taking 11 wickets in 7 matches.
Mitchell Starc, who missed out on re-writing the record for the fastest to 100 ODI wickets once again last night, is fifth in the bowling charts following his return after an extended stint on the sidelines, while Mitch Marsh made gains in both the batting (up eight places to 28th) and bowling rankings (up 16 to 50th) after his strong finish to the tournament.

AB de Villiers has kept the No.1 batting spot despite failing to pass 50 for the first time in an extended ODI series since 2008, with the superstar averaging 24.20 in the tri-series, while West Indies spinner Sunil Narine kept his place at the top of the bowling rankings after taking 12 wickets in seven matches.
Australia has retained the No.1 ODI ranking on the team charts, but South Africa dropped to fourth behind India after failing to make the final. The West Indies remained at the 8th position but widened the gap between them and ninth-ranked Pakistan to seven points.
