Australia international David Warner has been quite active on social media ever since cricket has been hindered amid COVID-19 pandemic. The southpaw has been on a TikTok-sharing spree and has been sharing many hilarious clips involving his wife as well as daughters.
Warner, in May, had shared a TikTok while dancing to Telugu star Mahesh Babu’s hit song ‘Mind Block’. His partner for the song was his wife Candice, with his children featuring in the background. Even Mahesh Babu had appreciated Warner’s efforts, saying that the Australian batsman was ‘simply awesome’ in the video.
Warner has revealed the madness yet again on August 9th on the account of Mahesh’s birthday. The actor turned 45 on Sunday and Warner came up with a tribute for Mahesh. Warner wished the superstar actor by sharing another ‘Mind Block’ dance video featuring his wife and daughters. The opening batsman also tagged Mahesh in his much-awaited clip which has garnered over 1.5 lakh likes in just an hour.
33-year-old Warner will be seen donning the Sunrisers Hyderabad jersey in IPL 2020. The Australian mainstay, who led the Hyderabad franchise to their maiden title in 2016, will be hoping to clinch another trophy. SRH had won the IPL 2016 by defeating Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final.
David Warner will miss the initial phase of IPL 2020
Warner lost the SRH captaincy when he missed IPL 2018 following his involvement in the infamous ball-tampering scandal. However, the team owners have trusted the southpaw to successfully lead the side in IPL 2020. The cash-rich league, amid COVID-19 pandemic, is set to commence from September 19th in the UAE.
Warner, who was last seen in action in March, is confirmed to miss SRH’s training camp and first few matches due to Australia’s international fixtures. Australia are scheduled to tour England for a white-ball series, that is likely to end on September 16th. All players will have to be in quarantine for seven days before they join their respective franchises.
In Warner’s absence in the initial phase of the tournament, Kane Williamson or Bhuvneshwar Kumar are expected to don the skipper’s role. One of the most successful batsmen in the history of the IPL, Warner has mustered 4706 runs in 126 matches of the tournament. He also has three Orange Caps and four IPL centuries to his name.
