David Warner was set to lead Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2020

Warner was set to lead Sunrisers Hyderabad in the thirteenth edition of the cash-rich league. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, all sporting events across the glove including IPL 2020 has come to a standstill. The much-awaited tournament was set to commence from 29th March but was postponed to 15th April.

But considering the current situation across the globe, the tournament has landed into hot waters and its feasibility still remains a concern. India is currently on a 21-day lockdown and hosting a tournament in such trying times will be a major concern for the BCCI.

Several reports have also suggested that the tournament would be scrapped this year as no one wants to take any risk after witnessing the current situation of the country.
