Australia and Sunrisers Hyderabad player David Warner has been renowned for his social media presence. The aggressive batter’s Instagram highlights his inclination towards Indian films, which includes the Southern film industry as well.

Time and again, Warner has uploaded posts where he can be seen either mimicking, performing, or dancing on popular songs from the Indian film universe. Warner is also fond of replacing and transforming himself into actors from renowned segments of movies or songs and in one of his recent attempts, the cricketer features himself as South film star, Dhanush.

In a recent post on Instagram, which he captioned as “Back by popular demand. Name it please,” the 34-year-old has made a fake transformation, where he can be seen shaking a leg on Dhanush’s famous track “Rowdy Baby”.

Notably, Warner had been inactive in the recent past on his social media platforms, and all his followers were glad to see the sensation back as they welcomed him warmly. “So nice to see you back,” wrote one user while the other mentioned, “Our celebrity side Warner Bhai is back.”

Warner’s torrid IPL 2021

Known for his utterly consistent performances in the Indian Premier League, the 2021 edition turned out to be a rather forgettable affair for the SRH skipper as he was sacked midway as the captain. While he continuously struggled to find momentum with the bat, the other members could also not deliver the goods, leaving the team at the bottom of the table at the time of the suspension.

The Sunrisers have an unbeaten streak of Playoff qualifications running since 2016, which includes a triumphant campaign in 2018. While the 14th edition of the league had to be abruptly suspended after multiple Covid-19 cases emerged across different bio-bubbles in different cities, it rarely felt that SRH would have managed to evade the halting of their significant streak, having lost no less than six of the seven fixtures in 2021.

Notably, Warner was dropped from the playing XI against the Rajasthan Royals in what eventually turned out to be the penultimate clash before the season suspension. It remains to be seen if the curtailed event will resume.

Meanwhile, here’s Warner’s “Rowdy” avatar
