DC Released Players: Here is the complete list of Released Players by DC For IPL 2022

INR 42.5 Crores. That is the total amount that will be deducted from the Delhi Capitals’ (DC) purse as they retained 4 players ahead of the hugely awaited mega auctions that will take place before the 2022 edition of the IPL.

Rishabh Pant will lead the side and will draw a salary of INR 16 Crores. And, it is clear that the Delhi Capitals are looking at Pant as their leader in the long run as well. Axar Patel is the second retained player but has decided to take a pay cut. He will get a salary of INR 9 Crores.

Trailblazing opener Prithvi Shaw is DC’s third retention, and the right-handed batter will be paid a sum of INR 7.5 Crores. And, the 4th and final retention is South African tearaway pacer Anrich Nortje, and he will be paid INR 6.5 Crores.

And surely, the retention picks would have been a tough call for the Delhi Capitals (DC) side. They had loads of talent in players like Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kagiso Rabada, Steve Smith, Tom Curran, Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Avesh Khan, and Shimron Hetmeyer. And, they have decided to let all these players go.

Apart from these marquee superstars, the Capitals have also parted ways with Indian players like Lalit Yadav, Ripal Patel, Vishnu Vinod, Amit Mishra, Lukman Meriwala, and Praveen Dubey. So, after retaining 4 players, the Capitals have exhausted INR 42.5 Crores out of their total purse of INR 90 Crores.
