Former Australian cricketer and commentator Dean Jones is not a part of the commentary team for the ongoing ODI series between India and Australia. However, that has not kept the former cricketer away from being closely associated with the game. He is following the series up and close. Jones has been tweeting updates about the series on a fairly consistent basis.

While most of his analytical tweets have fetched good responses from the fans on the social media, the most recent update saw him getting brutally trolled. In an update on micro blogging site Twitter, Dean Jones remarked that the bowling action of Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya resembles a great deal to that of legendary former West Indies pace bowler Michael Holding.

He asked the fans if his observation is correct or not. He also added the fact that the speeds of the two bowlers is obviously very different but the topic under observation here is the bowling action. Much to his amusement, he received some seriously trolling comments.

“Does anyone think that @hardikpandya7 bowling action similar to Michael Holding? Obviously speed is different, but similar,” Dean Jones asked in a Tweet.

The fans started trolling him rightaway. They mocked him asking if he is high on dope. Many fans asked him the kind of stuff that he has been smoking. Well, the comments went from being hilarious to seriously offensive. A few fans even tried analysing the observation and felt that the actions of Hardik Pandya and Michael Holding are nowhere close.

The former Australian cricketer did not respond back to the comments and had his observations made once and for all. He certainly did not expect himself to be trolled for making such observations. For the stats, Hardik Pandya has been the breakthrough player for India in the series thus far with two Player of the Match awards to his name in 3 matches.

Here is how the fans reacted to his tweet:
