Faheem Ashraf is one of the upcoming talents in Pakistan cricket and recently played in the two-match Test series against England. His all-round heroics helped them level the series and is being touted as one of the cricketers to watch out for in the future. He will soon feature in the T20Is against Scotland which will be played on June 12 and 13. He posted a thoughtful message on Twitter on Wednesday for his fans to which Dean Jones has given a cheeky response while also praising him as a cricketer.
Dean Jones works as the head coach of Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The team won the title earlier this year for the second time in three editions and Faheem played a vital role in their triumph. It goes without saying that Deano has been instrumental in his progress as a cricketer and on the back of his showings in PSL, the all-rounder has managed to cement his place in the national team.
Funny banter
Faheem Ashraf posed for a couple of clicks during his stay in the United Kingdom and captioned it with a message which read, “Walk away from anything that gives you bad vibes. There is no need to explain or make sense of it. It’s your life. Do what makes you happy. #RememberMeInYourPrayers.” He had worn a hoodie of Adidas which is a multinational corporation that manufactures shoes, clothing and accessories.
Jones responded to the tweet cheekily by asking him if Adidas is paying him for endorsing their product and also showered praises on him for progressing well in his cricketing career. “Hellos young man… I am loving your progress as a cricketer and a person. Keep it up … love your work. I hope @adidas are paying you a fortune!” his reply read. Jones is known to be a happy go lucky person and it is no surprise that Faheem has been moulded in the same way after spending time with him for a long time.
Here’s the thread of the convo:
