After thrashing the Australians in the Test series earlier this year, Virat Kohli-led India once again dominated Steve Smith’s men by winning the ODI series 4-1. India will now take on the visitors in the three-match T20 series. However, former Australian cricketer Dean Jones hasn’t got tired of firing arrows at the Indians. Jones tried trolling India during the ODI series and is now back again.

The T20 series between the two sides will begin from October 7 in Ranchi. Jones tweeted in the micro-blogging site saying “The big question is why India slipped to be Ranked No5 in ICC T20 rankins? They are there for a reason?”

Jones faces backlash

Jones’ illogical tweet didn’t go down well with the cricket fans around the globe and they came back at the commentator. The Australian cricket captain Steve Smith clearly doesn’t voice the same opinion as he recently slammed their batting unit.

“Probably a 300 wicket. One of our top four needed to make a big score. Lost wickets in clumps again. Have a few things to look at to try and improve and gain the consistent performances we’re after. Just need to get the right balance of the way we want to play and get consistent performances. We’ve been outplayed and deserve to lose 1-4,” the 28-year-old said.

“A lot of our players have played a lot of cricket in India, can’t use that as an excuse. Still got to try and keep a positive frame of mind. India are a very good cricket team, they’ve got a very good balance,” Smith added. “We have six or so days until the three-match T20I series. We’d like to go home with a trophy.”

Jones must have given it a thought or two after the barrage of tweets at him. and unfortunately, he doesn’t have the scoreline to prove his case this time around. Lets check out the tweets:
