The Indian team has been in a dominating position in the ongoing tour of New Zealand. Already having gained an unassailable lead of 3-0 with two matches to go, India will now be aiming for a whitewash. With Virat Kohli rested for the remainder of the series, Rohit Sharma will take over the captaincy duties.
This is India’s second One Day International series victory over New Zealand in NZ. The earlier instance took place in the 2009 tour when MS Dhoni was the captain. So far in the series, India have been absolutely phenomenal and not allowed the hosts to provide much-needed fight back. Even the anchors in the studio have not been sparing the fellow New Zealanders present there.
Dean Jones attempts to troll Scott Styris on Twitter
The banter exchange in the commentary box has been quite fun off late. With the Kiwis facing three consecutive defeats, the Indian contingent in the studio hasn’t shied away from poking fun. Anchor Mayanti Langer has also left no stone unturned when it comes to trolling Scott Styris so far in the series.
Now even former Australian cricketer Dean Jones has joined the bandwagon. The 57-year-old tagged the former all-rounder and Langer to inquire if the Black Caps lost again. Here’s what the Aussie commentator tweeted, “@scottbstyris @Sanjog_G @MayantiLanger_B Did NZ lose again?”

Did NZ lose again?— Dean Jones (@ProfDeano) January 29, 2019
The banter has been going on since the morning. Scott answered one of the viewers who stated that he was enjoying Mayanti pulling his leg. Styris responded back saying he was waiting for the Kiwis to win a game before he could get back at her. Sanjog Gupta added fuel to the fire and questioned Dean Jones’ silence over it. Since Australia were alive till the last game of the series, he felt that Dean had every right to take on Styris.
I'm just waiting for NZ to win a game….. then look out @MayantiLanger_B !!!!! https://t.co/DXhuapko01
