Deepak Chahar and lady-love Jaya Bhardwaj celebrate with CSK players after clash with PBKS

Although Chennai Super Kings endured a forgettable outing against Punjab Kings in their last league-stage game of IPL 2021, the players got a reason to celebrate after the match. During the game, Deepak Chahar was spotted going down on his knees to propose the love of his life Jaya Bhardwaj. She didn’t take long in saying ‘Yes’ as soon after, people around started applauding the couple.

It was indeed one of the most epic displays of romance in a cricket stadium as fans were left overwhelmed. CSK’s official Twitter handle shared the video of the same which got viral in no time. In another video shared by the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Deepak and Jaya can be seen celebrating their love in a cake-cutting ceremony. Several CSK players and staff members also featured in the celebratory moment.

“Congratulations Deepak & Jaya.! Merry moments from the Cherry Celebrations.!” CSK captioned the video. For the unversed, Jaya and Deepak have known each other for a long time and the reports of them dating were doing the rounds from the last couple of months. In order to cheer the pacer, Jaya travelled to UAE and is a part of CSK’s bio-bubble.3

CSK suffer their third successive defeat on the trot3

Meanwhile, CSK suffered a humiliating six-wicket defeat against Punjab Kings. Being put on to bat first in Dubai, the three-time champions lost wickets at regular intervals and never got going. From Ruturaj Gaikwad to Robin Uthappa, several CSK batters failed to make an impact. However, Faf du Plessis held one end and scored a fighting 76.

Riding on his brilliance, CSK managed to post 134/6 in their allotted 20 overs. While the Dubai track challenged CSK batters, Punjab’s chase couldn’t have been any more smooth. Skipper KL Rahul brought his A-game out and made a mockery of CSK bowlers. From Ravindra Jadeja to Josh Hazlewood, Rahul spared none.

Ever, Deepak Chahar had a tough time on the field. In four overs, he gave away 48 runs while scalping a solitary wicket. As a result, PBKS crossed line with as many seven overs to spare. Although the Men in Yellow have qualified for playoffs, three successive defeats would worry them.
