Deepak Chahar congratulates brother Rahul Chahar after the latter gets engaged to his long-time girlfriend
Rahul earned his maiden call-up from India Team after delivering impressive performances in the IPL and India A.
Young India spinner Rahul Chahar is all set to start a new chapter in his life. After breaking into the Indian team earlier this year, the Rajasthan leg-spinner, on Thursday, got engaged to long-time girlfriend Ishani. He made his international debut against West Indies at the Providence Stadium in Guyana in August this year.
The youngster went on to play alongside his brother Deepak Chahar, helping India win the game and inflict a whitewash on the reigning T20 world champions. The two became the 4th pair of brothers to play for India in the international cricket with Mohinder and Surinder Amarnath, Irfan and Yusuf Pathan, Hardik and Krunal Pandya being the other three pairs.
Rahul earned his maiden call-up from India Team after delivering impressive performances in the IPL and India A. He starred in Mumbai Indians‘ record title-winning IPL season earlier this year. Rahul picked up 13 wickets from 13 matches at an impressive average of 23.69 with an economy rate of 6.55. The fine performance helped him break into the India A side. He impressed for India A too. Rahul claimed six wickets in three outings as India-A won the series 4-1 against West Indies A.
