Deepak Chahar posts pictures from Haldi ceremony of Rahul Chahar and his fiancee

Indian leg-spin bowler Rahul Chahar is getting ready to tie the knot with his girlfriend Ishani Johar in Goa on 9th March 2022. And, another Indian cricketer Deepak Chahar who is also the cousin of Rahul Chahar attended the Haldi function.

Chahar shared some photos from the Haldi ceremony of the couple. The right-arm pacer posted snaps of Rahul and his fiancée as well as the pictures he has taken with his cousin.

Soon to be the beginning of our ‘forever’: Rahul Chahar

On 8th March 2022, Rahul Chahar took to Instagram and posted a picture with his fiancée. Chahar stated that it is the beginning of his ‘forever’ with his better half. He even added that love is blooming between him and Johar. “Soon to be the beginning of our “forever”! Day 1 filled with the colours of mehndi . The love is blooming,” posted Rahul Chahar on Instagram.

On the cricketing front, both Rahul Chahar and Deepak Chahar were bought by different franchises in the 2022 IPL mega auction. While Deepak Chahar was bought by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for a sum of INR 14 Crores, Rahul Chahar was snaffled by the Punjab Kings (PBKS) franchise for INR 5.25 Crores.

Also, with the T20 World Cup scheduled to be played this year, former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra feels that Deepak Chahar will be picked in the Indian squad for the tournament ahead of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Chopra reckons that Chahar is ahead of Kumar because of the fact that he can bat.

“Deepak Chahar is slightly ahead in my list (for T20 World Cup) because he bats as well. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is bowling better at the moment but eight months’ time is still left. So one out of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Deepak Chahar,” said Aakash Chopra on his YouTube channel.
