The highly anticipated India-Sri Lanka tour wrapped up with the hosts winning the T20I series 2-1. India had to deal with a blow as Krunal Pandya tested positive for Covid-19 and the eight players that were in close contact with him also had to undergo quarantine owing to precautionary measures. The Shikhar Dhawan-led side had, however, clinched victory in the ODI series. The Indian cricket team that toured Sri Lanka returned home after their white-ball series against the hosts. Deepak Chahar shared a video of the players walking out of the airport.
Deepak Chahar shared the video on Instagram to confirm the arrival of Team India back to India. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shikhar Dhawan are also spotted in the video posted by the pacer. All the players are seen walking in a subtle swag. Chahar, however, can be also seen giving a look towards the camera towards the end of the clip. He captioned the video as: “Walk back home”

Deepak Chahar was one of the players who stood out for India in the series against Sri Lanka. In the ODI series, he scalped four wickets and displayed his sheer flair in the second ODI wherein he played an unbeaten knock of 69 to help the team secure a win. The cricketing fraternity had lavished praises on him after he showed immense composure and secured a win for the team amidst the crunch moment.
The seamer had also opened up about his performance when he posted the video of the winning moment and a few pictures from the match. Chahar captioned the post as “Will never forget this moment#teamindia #dream. Thank You so much for your wishes means a lot.”
