Deepika Padukone reveals the name of her favourite cricketer

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is trending in the news now for her fantabulous performance in Padmaavat. Amidst all the controversies, the movie finally released and is gaining some good talk. Deepika is also getting the critics acclaim for her marvellous performance. Recently during a shoot, Deepika also revealed the name of her favourite Indian cricketer.

According to an entertainment portal, Deepika spoke about it when she was shooting for an episode of Vogue BFF’s with her sister Anisha. Deepika was involved in several cricket events earlier. She took part in many IPL Opening Ceremonies and was also seen during quite a few IPL matches.

And Deepika’s favourite cricketer is…

Deepika revealed that the former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is her favourite cricketer. She admitted that she is a big fan of former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

MS Dhoni achieved everything possible in cricket as the captain of Indian team. He won both the 50-over, WT20s for India. He also won the Champions Trophy making him the only captain to win all these coveted cups. MS is seen as a huge icon in Indian cricket and he has a huge fan base. Although he retired from the longest format of the game, he continues to feature in the limited-overs format.

Also in a recent development, he was retained by his old IPL franchise, Chennai Super Kings. They have retained him for Rs. 15 crores. The fans are very excited to see MSD back in the yellow jersey.

Dhoni and Deepika were earlier rumoured to be dating each other. There were even reports that Dhoni, who got popular for his long hairstyle had cut his tresses just because of Deepika. In the inaugural IPL opening ceremony, the Badshah Shah Rukh Khan was also seen teasing Dhoni about this. Dhoni had a wide smile on his face back then.

However, neither the charismatic Dhoni or the stunning Deepika have ever accepted it. MS Dhoni got married to Sakshi Singh Rawat in 2010 quashing all the rumours.
