Former West Indies wicketkeeper batsman Courtney Browne was just last week appointed as the new chief selector of the national team by the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) and he is immediately at the receiving end. Browne in the initial few decisions he made after taking over office from the legend Clive Lloyd dropped regular wicketkeeper batsman Denesh Ramdin from the squad for the Indian tour.

Ramdin wasn’t really pleased with the exclusion and took to Twitter to take the battle on Browne. In the first of the series of Tweets he posted he wrote – ‘What a rainy day,lil heads up for shotta 80 fans wouldn’t be playin in test series vs india.new  chairman says my avg isn’t Gud’

He didn’t stop there and also gave everyone a reminder of his form. The wicketkeeper has scores of 8, 4, 0, 59 and 62 in his last 5 Test knocks. ‘Last 2 innings over 60 vs Australia down under but not good to play anymore.’

WICB hasn’t announced the team yet but named the Board President XI squad which included Test players Jermaine Blackwood, Rajendra Chandrika, Shane Dowrich, Shai Hope and Jomel Warrican. Ramdin’s exclusion from the team is an indication that he isn’t in the scheme of things of the new chief selector.

He took it further adding, ‘Life goes on man God is great, what I haven’t done in my test career for sure was dropping any batsman to score double hundred vs WI.’

‘Man who’s telling my average is bad with 25.87 but his is 16 telling me about batting an has never scored international hundred shameless.’
