The Coronavirus pandemic has left the world stunned. Most of the countries are under lockdown in a bid to contain the transmission of the COVID-19. Sri Lanka too is no exception to the current situation and it has led to the cricketers in the nation spend time with the family in a unique way. They have also been active in helping the poor and needy people during these tough times.
Moreover, Dinesh Chandimal has now cut his long hair and has shaved off his beard to appreciate the work done by the Army, Police, and doctors among others during these tough times. He is enjoying his time with his wife Ishika Jayasekara. Interstingly, the latter turned his hairstylist during the lockdown to give her husband a new look.
Chandimal usually goes to a renowned hairstylist Samantha Pathirana who is known to have clients like Sri Lanka’s prominent and foreign cricketers. However, with the country being locked down, his wife Ishika took up the role and completed her husband’s wish to cut his long hair.
“Yes, I made him “almost” bald. He decided to remove his long hair and beard for two reasons. He is an army man and there he is not allowed to keep long hair. Secondly, you can say it is a way of appreciating the humble work being done by the army, police, doctors and para-medical staff and also cleaners. They are doing round the clock excellent work in the country during this difficult lock down period,” Ishika said while speaking to bdcrictime earlier this week.
Anushka Sharma also turned hairstylist for Virat Kohli
Recently, the Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma also turned hairstylist for her cricketer husband Virat Kohli amid nationwide lockdown in India and the latter had posted the video of the same.
When asked about the same, Ishika told that she knew about Virat donning the new look courtesy Anushka’s efforts but added that she cut her husband’s hair a week ago before that. “Yes, I saw that in the news but I did it for Dinesh a week before that,” Ishika further added.
As far as Dinesh Chandimal’s help for the poor and needy people during the Coronavirus pandemic is concerned, he distribution dry ration in Thalangama which lies in the outskirts of Colombo. He helped 60 families in Thalangama Grama Seva Division earlier this week.
