Dinesh Karthik resorts to shadow practice and meditation during self-quarantine amid Coronavirus threat

Coronavirus outbreak has immensely affected the lives of people across the globe. Not only individuals but also the sports industry has suffered huge losses as they were forced to postpone the tournaments until further notice. Now, players have nothing to do but to stay back at home and spend time with their family.

COVID-19 also made a bad impact on IPL due to which it is on the verge of getting abandoned. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders have shared a clip in which their sipper Dinesh Karthik can be spotted doing shadow practice and sharing a social awareness message for the fans.

Indian Premier League 2020 was scheduled to begin from 29th of March. But off the late, BCCI took a strong step as they postponed the tournament to mid-April. Moreover, there are chances that it might get postponed to another couple of months as far as the current situation is concerned due to the outbreak of Coronavirus. It was a major setback for the franchises as they were gearing up for the tournament with their players getting indulged in the pre-season camp.

Dinesh Karthik finds a way to be in touch with cricket

Now, after cricket has come down to a halt, so the cricketers have nothing to do but to stay at home with their near and dear ones. Meanwhile, there is Dinesh Karthik, the Indian cricketer, who has found an innovative way to stay in connect with the game until everything comes on track. And, Kolkata Knight Riders shared a video for the same.

The IPL franchise took to their official Twitter handle and shared a clip in which Karthik can be spotted doing shadow practice. It is usually done by the players to keep themselves in rhythm when they are away from the game for some time. Meanwhile, he also shared some guidelines with the fans as a precaution to protect themselves from threatening virus.

He asked fans to stay at least six feet away from anyone as a part of social distancing, wash hands regularly and try to stay back at home as much as possible. As per him, these steps will help them in cutting down the probability of the infectious virus that has taken several lives across the globe. Karthik along with many famous cricketers will be spotted back in action if IPL 2020 gets a nod from BCCI in the near future.
