Since making his debut in international cricket in 2008 he has broken a plethora of record. Kohli is now more marketable player than Lionel Messi. The cricketer, who used to charge Rs 2.5 crore and Rs 4 crore a day, has now increased his fee for appearing in advertisement Rs 5 crores. According to reports, it is said that apart from the fees hike, Virat has many confidentiality clauses included in the advertising or product endorsing contracts.

His fan following is not only limited to India, he is also popular throughout the world. The 29-year-old has gathered love all the way from the US, UK and other western countries. With over 16.5 millions of fans on Instagram Kohli is one of the most followed Indian cricketers.

He thus also earns a lot of money posting promotional photos on his Instagram profile.

Kohli earns Rs 3.2 cr for each Instagram posting

This fan following helps him to ear up to Rs 3.2 crore for per product endorsing. The young cricketer also promotes various other brands and products. According to Forbes magazine, Virat is the most expensive Indian athlete.

He spent a lot of time on his fitness and look after his body with as much importance as he gives to his time dedicated to honing his batting and fielding skills.

The 29-year-old star recently became the fastest batsman to score more than 9000 runs in ODI cricket playing just 200 ODIs. He broke the record of AB de Villers and his predecessor Sourav Ganguly. Kohli even surpassed legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar scoring nine thousand runs in 200 matches.

Kohli is now only behind Tendulkar in terms of ODI centuries he has scored 32 ODI hundred while Tendulkar has 49.
