A few hours earlier, businessman Donald Trump became the new President-Elect of the United States of America. While the world stood shocked, there were a few cricketers who opened up on Twitter to state their feelings on the newly elected president of the United States of America.
While the world now awaits to see what Donald Trump has to offer as President of the United States, many others, including the cricketers have expressed shock over the election. In his victory speech, Trump said, “Got a call from Hillary, she congratulated me and I congratulated her on a very very hard fought campaign.”
In fact, the last 24 hours have been a supremely exciting one for the folks from both India and the United States. While Narendra Modi has, the Prime Minister of India is on a trail of revamping the ‘cleanliness’ of the Indian economy, the Americans have voted for a leader who would perhaps make America great again.
Among the players who tweeted, the most surprised was clearly former England skipper Kevin Pietersen. So much was the 36-year old’s shock that he required 5 tweets to express what had just transpired.

Former Indian cricketer Anjum Chopra however, took the high road as she congratulated Trump on his newest appointment in office. Mohandas Menon, the glorified statistician for the Indian cricket team went on to compare the win with India’s triumph in the 1983 World Cup, something that was a shock in itself.
Darren Sammy and James Taylor also expressed their opinions on the same with the latter requiring two tweets to convey his message.
I wonder what facial expression Trump has at this moment ????????????????????????
