Shivnarine Chanderpaul, the West Indian is known for his unorthodox batting stance. In the year 2004, Chanderpaul replaced Brain Lara as the captain of the West Indian team for the series against South Africa. On his very first match as a captain he scored a fine 203 not out, in front of his home crowd in Guyana. He became the second player after Graham Dowling to achieve this record.
