Graham Dowling a former New Zealand Skipper has this rare record of hitting a double century on captaincy debut. He captained New Zealand for 19 tests overall. Graham scored 239 runs on debut as a captain in Christchurch in 1967-68 and led his team to their first ever victory over India. This unique feat was unbroken record until Shivnarine Chanderpaul broke it in the year 2005.
