Quetta Gladiators recently won their maiden Pakistan Super League (PSL) title defeating Peshawar Zalmi and one of their premier all-rounders, Dwayne Bravo, has come out praising his team-mate Mohammad Hasnain saying Pakistan have a world-class international bowler in him. Hasnain, 18, made his T20 debut in this PSL and captured 12 scalps in just seven matches at an average of below 18 and an economy rate of 7.53. Hasnain, in fact, ended up as the Man of the Match by picking 3 wickets for 30 runs in the final.

Among his wickets were frontline batsmen like Imam-ul-Haq, Umar Amin and Kieron Pollard. Hasnain’s impressive show in PSL 4 even saw him earning a place in the Pakistan squad that will play Australia in a five-ODI series in the UAE starting March 22. The youngster also impressed with his ability to bowl at 150 km/hour speed on a consistent basis – yet another reason for his selection in the national squad.

A stalwart in the T20 format with over 6k runs and 479 wickets, Bravo plays franchise cricket across the planet and he was all praise for the champion team which finally got a taste of success in the PSL after finishing as the runners-up in 2016 and 2017.

“PSL is a big tournament, and we were against a very good side. It was a great, great team effort. Pakistan is a cricket-crazy nation, we experience the love and we feel the love,” Bravo was quoted as saying by icc-cricket.com. “Special mention to captain Sarfaraz – his bowling choices were different. In Hasnain, Pakistan have another young talent. PSL is the one title I had never won before, so happy to tick another one off my list.”

Hasnain eyeing a spot in Pakistan WC squad

Hasnain dedicated his Man of the Match award in the final to his parents before revealing his future plan of bowling faster than what he has been doing now. The teenager also gave the credit to big players saying he learned a lot from them while sharing the dressing room. In fact, the youngster is even eyeing a spot in Pakistan’s World Cup squad by doing good against the Aussies in the upcoming series.
