ECB unveil England's jersey for the upcoming Men's T20 World Cup in Australia
The Women's team will also wear the same jersey.
Ahead of the 2022 Men’s T20 World Cup, England cricket team became the first country to roll-out their team jersey and kit for the all-important event. To note, the kits have also been designed for the Women, Disability, Pathway and Men’s teams. Several English players including, Jofra Archer, Jos Butler, Katie George, Chris Edwards of the learning disability team, were involved with the manufacturer for the making of the newly launched outfit.
The players helped the designers to choose the features and fabrics to boost player’s performance on the field. The outfit has been specially designed to increase performance and ease of movement with that the manufacturer have used across the highest level of their sportswear. In a delighting news for the fans, the supporters will be able to purchase the Pro Kit that the players will wear during the mega event.
The Kit has been made with recycled poly elastane blend
Made from a high-stretch and recycled poly elastane blend, the kit will allow the freedom to players to move freely, which is not the case with the conventional garment. With mesh paneling near the underarms, the kit will help the players to stay cool and focus on the game.
“The three lions are at the heart of the bespoke kit design, which will be worn by the England men’s team at the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup this Autumn and the women’s team in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2023,” the England Cricket Board (ECB) said in a statement.
Meanwhile, the England cricket team will host New Zealand for two Test matches in June. The Three Lions will next take on India and South Africa in both red and white ball series. They will then fly to Australia for the T20 World Cup. To note England had a heartbreak in 2021 T20 WC as they lost the semi-final against New Zealand and were knocked out of the tournament.
