VVS Laxman made his debut for India in 1996 against South Africa. He was one of the best Test batsmen for India and on most occasions stood there when the team was in need for a resistant knock. VVS towards the later half of his career was regarded as a second inning specialist as he played some remarkable knocks in the fourth innings of Tests. He completed his schooling from Little Flower High School, Hyderabad. After completion of 10+2 Laxman started pursuing a medical degree course but he ultimately chose cricket instead of a career in medicine.

Murali Vijay made his debut against Australia in 2006 and has been an important player for India in Test cricket. One of the most assured Test batsmen in the country at the moment Vijay is called ‘Monk’ by his teammates. The opener is a highly qualified and holds a post graduate degree in Economics.
